Happy New Year to one and all, lets hope it’s a happy and healthy one. We had such a fun Christmas and all the cats enjoyed their presents, especially the cat nip!
I don’t know how many of you saw the TV show we were featured on last year, but those who did know what a bad state our house was in. The good news is that we now have a new bathroom and are in the middle of having our kitchen fitted, we are currently living in chaos, but know if will be worth it eventually.
One bit of sad news is that we lost our old donkey Basil just after Christmas. He hadn’t been ill and the day before was his usual happy self. Tim went to give him his usual digestive biscuit for breakfast and found him dead in the barn. We made him a promise when he arrived that he would never leave us and he is now buried by the hedge in the field where he was so happy. It really hurts when they go, but I know that after such a long hard life he finally relaxed and trusted us and knew what it was to be loved. The other donkeys are looking forward to spring as they don’t enjoy the rain at all and give me their best sad faces to encourage me to bring them more food in their barn so that they don’t have to go outside!
We have had so many bookings come in since the beginning of the month and are already full for Christmas. February and May bookings are the busiest so far, followed by April and the summer months. If you do have any future dates you would like held please let us know as soon as possible to secure your place.
We have had three delightful kittens staying over the last couple of weeks and have all become very broody. We have now decided to rehome a kitten in spring and will be contacting the local rehoming centres soon.
Must go, lots of cats to entertain 🙂
